Deep Garnet Red Plastic Buch & Deichmann Parrot Brooch circa 1970s

Gorgeous deep red plastic HUGE parrot brooch by Buch and Deichmann from the late 1970s. Measures 5 1/2" long. Rhinestone eye, marked on back. No flaws. An amazing collector's item.

"Buch and Deichmann (B&D) Denmark started up in the early 1970’s. Designer Ketty Dalsgaard, inspired by the ropes of local fishing vessels in Denmark, started with a collection of bright coloured plastic bracelets. The pieces were made of a nylon type of softer plastic, lightweight and with a unique, very subtle “glow”."
