White Lotus and Pink Peony Print Black Crepe Silk Irotomesode Kimono Robe circa 1900

Japanese ceremonial/formal robe called an irotomesode, worn only by married women for special occassions. Black crepe outer features a lovely peony floral design below waist, 5 family symbols of White Lotus placed on chest (2), sleeves (2), and one on upper back. Lined in lightweight ivory silk, sleeves lined in brilliant red. Has a water line above floral but only seen when looking for it- no holes or stains. Obi/sash not included.
