Today is Sesame Street's 44th birthday! I was born in 1969 2 weeks after this show went on the air in 1969 and have grown up in a world where Sesame Street was always present...for both myself and my daughter when she was little. Sesame Street has not only been a wonderful show for the work of the writers and Muppets but for the amazing array of celebrities that have guest starred over the decades! We're taking a look at highlights today over on the Facebook page...come on over and play!
Harry Belafonte with The Count...
Johnny Cash...
Jim Henson with his creations, Bert & Ernie...
Julie Andrews and Miss Piggy....
Richard Belzer and his Muppet twin....
Buffy St. Marie with Big Bird....
And an amazing video of Paul Simon singing "Me & Julio" with a charming and talented little girl!
