Fur Trimmed Flame Textured Silk Jacket and Skirt in Rich Deep Brown circa 1910s
Fur Trimmed Flame Textured Silk Jacket and Skirt in Rich Deep Brown circa 1910s
Truly stunning and rare late teens to early 1920s flame stitched deep chocolate brown silk long jacket and skirt edged in black rabbit fur- large buttons on front of jacket and accents on sides of skirt and side of sleeves above fur cuffs.
The skirt is not truly a "skirt" in that it appears to be the bottom part of a dress- likely a plain silk bodice that shattered over the years. It was removed at the seam, leaving hook and eye closure at left side intact. That said- it will need tailored to nip waist for a perfect fit, I'm leaving that to the new owner so that it can be made to fit them. There are no stains or holes- and the lining of the coat is delightful!! Labeled B Frankel women's tailor Riverside (in California).
