When I happened into the estate of Ms Jean, this dress was one she had saved but as she was a child in the early 1900s, this is obviously not hers. I don't know yet who's it is- that may come with reading more letters and ancestry research. But this is something she treasured- perhaps it belonged to her Grandmother? I would date it to the turn of the century. It could of course be her Mother's as well. But isn't it just smashing? Pink silk, metallic gold trim and lace cuffs.Â
