Whiting and Davis Style Black Metal Mesh Evening Bag circa 1940s

Whiting and Davis style black metal mesh bag, lined- gold tone etched metal frame, black chain strap. No markings, no flaws. Likely Whiting and Davis but doesn't say it anywhere. Very heavy and well made, lined in black fabric.
