One of a Kind Silk and Velvet Kaneko 1920s Style Handbag circa 1970s

Incredible 1920s style bag by artist Janet Kaneko, part of the art-to-wear scene in Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s. Known for her use of kimono textiles and pleating, her works are rare and hard to find these days- her studio burned years ago leaving little left in the world. This bag is missing a hook for one side of the chain but otherwise perfect- still has store tags and original price. 9” long not including chain, 6” wide.
